We meet on the last Thursday of each month at DeAnza College in Cupertino from 11:30 – 13:30. The meetings are held in the Campus Center, shown on the map. For detailed directions on how to find this building and room. Come in and register. You’ll get a name badge and find a table to sit at. Go to the snack area and purchase a lunch and bring back to the meeting room.  At noon, the President will call the meeting to order. Following association business, a guest speaker with be introduced.

Park free in Parking Lot A. The parking lot faces a building called “Student & Community Services Building” (SCS). Enter the campus past the “Student & Community Services Building” and head to main quad and see the “Campus Center Building” on the right. Inside will be a snack area and many tables for students to eat. Next go down a hallway marked “Conference Rooms and Rest Room”. We will be in a large room – look for our registration table.

Upon arrival at our SVC Luncheon, please select a chair at a table of your choice and proceed to the DeAnza food court. Exit out of the conference room, walk ~30 > 50 feet down the hallway and turn right to get inside the Food Court. Make your luncheon food and drink selection. Once completed, pay for your meal at the cash register and return to your table in the meeting room to await the start of the meeting.
At these food stations, there will be the following offerings:

  • Deli – Hot and cold sandwiches, wraps
  • Salads made to order
  • Grill – Selection of burgers, chicken breast, Veggie burgers, Chicken Nuggets, Hot dogs etc….
  • Pizza & Teriyaki bowl station
  • Selection of beverages

Meeting Check In: Upon arrival, we will request you initial a roster confirming your name/contact information. Look for an SVC person with thin blue binder containing the roster, who will also have a roll of door prize tickets for our monthly drawing.
Reservations: No advance reservation or payment is required.

Speaker: Lieutenant Colonel Thomas Kulis, US Marine Corp 

Lt Col Kulisz, U.S. Marine Corps, is a National Security Affairs Fellow for the academic year 2023-2024 at the Hoover Institution.

Lieutenant Colonel Kulisz served 18 years as an Intelligence Officer ranging from leading counterintelligence and human intelligence teams to supporting special operations to building partnerships with key allies and partners throughout both Europe and the Indo-Pacific. Most recently, he served as Commanding Officer of 1st Intelligence Battalion based on Camp Pendleton, California.

He is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Johns Hopkins University with a Master of Science in Computer Science, and the Naval Postgraduate School with a Master of Science in Information Warfare Systems Engineering.

For those who wish to renewed their 2024 membership with SVC….. Please send your $30.00 check, payable to SVC MOAA, along with the completed official SVC Membership Renewal form and mail to SVC MOAA – P.O. Box 2 – Moffett Federal Air Field, CA 94035-0002. You can pick up the SVC Membership Renewal form at the luncheon or find and print the form at the bottom of this email.
